The COVID-19 pandemic has kept children far from schools and friends and this has affected their overall learning performance.
Dukagjini Bookstore offered me the space of their children’s book corner where I hosted “Storytime with Uta of the Mountains”.
It came as a refreshment for both children and parents and I was happy to nourish their imagination with my story and presentation of the expedition to the highest peak of the world.
The children’s book corner of Dukagjini took the look and feel of a Himalayan expedition, where Uta placed her tent and all the gears she used when climbing the roof of the world.
Children were in front of the book’s main character-Uta and had the chance to ask her questions about her journey.
Reading to children often and stimulating them to express their dreams and imagination is one of the most important speaking activities I do.
